Prasidh Krishna, who has become an integral part of the Gujarat Titans bowling lineup ever since his comeback to the Indian Premier League this season, after a gap of three years, said that he would look to utilise his experience of being a local boy at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru when his team goes up against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on April 2 (Wednesday).
Speaking at the pre-match press conference on April 1 (Tuesday), Prasidh said, “It's great to come back home and play in the stadium that we've grown up playing in. It is exciting. The first game is in Bangalore as well, so we're looking forward to it.”
Describing what the game-changer at the venue is going to be, the Karnataka man said, "Having played a lot of cricket here, you have an idea of what the pitch is going to be like. But no matter how well you know, I think that it comes down to execution that day. It comes down to how the game's momentum goes and if you're able to execute your plans well, I think you'll be more or less doing well most of the time."
While RCB have won both their matches, GT have won one and lost one and would look to make it two in three. To do that, their pacers would have to come good as they have a lethal attack of speed merchants.
Prasidh feels that having great bowlers in the team really helps the youngsters. GT have Ashish Nehra as bowling coach and experienced campaigners in Ishant Sharma, Kagiso Rabada and Mohammed Siraj.
"That's one lovely thing about the IPL. We have a lot of great bowlers in the team. We have a lot of youngsters that have a lot of potential. So, every time we get into the net session, there's so much for us to watch and learn from each other,” Prasidh said.
