England have dropped Gus Atkinson and brought in Brydon Carse for the second T20I against India in Chennai on January 25 (Saturday).
Meanwhile, spin-bowling all-rounder Jacob Bethell is ill but has still been named in the playing XI. If he fails to recover on time, wicketkeeper-batter Jamie Smith will make his T20I debut.
Both Atkinson and England had a horrible first T20I in Kolkata. The right-arm paceman leaked 38 runs in two overs as England lost the game by seven wickets. They allowed India to hunt down 132 in just 12.5 overs.
Carse, who recently had a great Test series in New Zealand, has featured in four T20Is and picked up six wickets at an economy rate of 7.66. The right-arm seamer is also a capable hitter down the order.
